
Years of erosion of Israel's democratic institutions and its social fabric, ongoing wars, and multiple indecisive elections have left many citizens feeling frustrated and discouraged; as a result, some may choose not to vote at all. Changing Direction is a movement of young people in Israel, working to build a just, democratic, and sustainable future, in the spirit of Israel's Declaration of Independence.
Voting Democracy aims to connect with thousands of voters who might otherwise stay home and refrain from going to the polls. By highlighting the urgency and importance of the coming elections and by emphasizing civic empowerment, they hope to motivate them to participate at the polls. This effort will use successful get-out-the-vote (GOTV) strategies from around the world.

Voting Democracy is a project of Changing Direction. Changing Direction, founded in 2023, is a grassroots movement that promotes democratic and liberal values within Israeli society. Since its inception, the movement has provided training to hundreds of individuals for civic engagement and activism and has coordinated numerous events impacting the public discourse in Israel.
